Living in New York City and being surrounded by so much fashion of all kinds one gets inspired and impressed. It’s been one of my biggest dreams to study in New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology. I started my Fashion Merchandising and Management course one year ago and I absolutely love my school. Majority of professors are coming straight from the Industry and give you first hand experience. Atmosphere is very friendly; and being a foreign student you pay big attention to that. Students are very talented and hardworking, no wonder this school gifted the industry with such great designers as Carolina Herrera, Calvin Klein, Nanette Lepore, Ralph Rucci, Reem Acra and many more. School also offers a lot of opportunities such as internships, seminars and volunteering in the related events.
Over this summer I took few summer classes and one of them was Photography Styling. I truly enjoyed that class and would take it one more time! The goal of the course is to learn how to work in groups and make Photo shoots for magazines and art. It is really close to real life experience and very exciting. We had four photo projects total, I had a great team and very proud of our work. Here is what we’ve created!
1. SHOE PHOTO SHOOT
2. FOOD PHOTO SHOOT
3. TRANSFORMATION PHOTO SHOOT
Carey Mulligan as Daisy Buchanan (The Great Gatsby)
4. FASHION SHOOT
Chelsea Li’s collection, Jessie Gong make-up, Shane Miller photography
